Last week a video was posted on the internet falsely depicting Shawn J and Smoke of Field Mob mocking New York rappers. The video lasting about two minutes spread all over the internet causing discussions of a East Coast/Down South rap war on message boards. The small clip shows the duo speaking their mind about New York rappers indirectly taking jabs at southern artists. In the video the group discusses their dismay with how New York rappers say "We gotta bring New York back" instead of embracing the new era of Hip-Hop. The clip then cuts to a scene of Field Mob talking to each other, using New York slang.

The scenes posted on the internet are clips from The Raw Report DVD Magazine Platinum Plus Series-Ludacris Presents Disturbing Tha Peace. The actual scene has been posted to Field Mob's official fan page www.fieldmob.com and myspace page www.myspace.com/fieldmob along with this statement from representatives from Disturbing Tha Peace.

The video that has made it's way to message boards across the net of Field Mob dissing New York rappers is false. Field Mob in no way has any beef with anyone in New York. In fact, people from Field Mob's label and management, DTP are from New York. Check out this clip to see the real footage from The Raw Report.

The success of the Field Mob has certainly added luster to the careers of the FROM THA ROOTA TO THA TOOTA album track producers. ET3, everyone knows is OutKast and their camp. They did two tracks on the latest Field Mob album. They are behind the success of Killer Mike on their Aquemini label deal with Sony Music. This summer Andre 3000 and Big Boi have a new album coming out on Arista Records which is being touted as solo albums by both packaged together. Jazze Pha (the man behind "Sick Of Being Lonely") is all over the place with his work with Ludacris, Nappy Roots,Baby of The Big Tymers, Trick Daddy,Snoop Dogg, Too Short, T.Q and others. A career highlight certainly has been working on posthumous 2Pac cut. He also his his own label deal with Atlantic Records. The son of James Alexander of The Bar-Kays (r&b og funk pioneers), Jazze has been around the best. He has a duo concept project coming out with Mannie Fresh later this year. Ole-e, who produced the entire first Field Mob album 613: ASHY TO CLASSY, did four joints on the second album (including the down south fave track "Cut Loose"). He just dropped his own indie album IF THE STREETS COULD TALK. He is starting to get national reponse to his first single "Living Comfortable, But Not Good" on Dirty South Entertainment/AMR Music. The beatmakers parade continues with Miami's own Drum Majorz (who scored a big hit a few year's ago with Iconz). These cats did the tracks "Betty Rocker" and "Haters" (that featured Trick Daddy). All of these talented cats with their co-producers and session players have helped to make the Field Mob album FROM THA ROOTA TO THA TOOTA a best seller.

From the first album "Project Dreamz (If You Ever Been Broke Put Your Hands Up)" charted on the Billboard Charts, then there was the runnaway hit single "Sick Of Being Lonely" from the second album (it went Top 10 R&B and HipHop Singles and Tracks; Top 20 Pop; and Top 5 Rap); now comes "All I Know" featuring Cee-Lo & Jazze Pha which will enter The Top R&B & Hip Hop Singles & Tracks Chart on the issue dated May 17th at #84.
The record is starting to get more ads at radio and showing some scans as a 12" single at retail.
